One of the major issue faced by girls today is that they lack in the proper skill of applying makeup. When we apply makeup we often compare our appearances with that of celebrities and expect same output. But does it happen? NO .Often we land up in a making makeup disaster. This is only because we don’t have right skills and tactics. So I thought of writing my next blog on the correct procedure of applying perfect makeup.
Step 1: Cleansing
The first and foremost step is to clean your face. Prefer lukewarm water to wash your face instead of extremely hot or cold water. You can also use cotton soaked in milk to wipe your face. If you are using a facewash then use alcohol-free facewash suitable for your skin.
Step 2: Moisturizing
Moisturizing is an integral part of this procedure. You can’t skip applying moisturizer because it gives a refined look. It also makes skin soft for further applications. In case you don’t have a moisturizer, you can also apply sunscreen lotion.
Step 3: Primer
Once the moisturizer has settled on your skin, you can apply primer. Use your fingers to apply primer. If u skip primer then there are chances that your makeup won’t last for a long time. Most of the primer are non-comedogenic i.e it won’t break your face or irritate your skin.
Step 4: Concealer
Expressive of its name, concealer helps to hide imperfections on the face and dark circles under the eye. Concealer can be applied throughout your face but it is usually applied below the eyes and in places where complexion is comparatively dark as compared to rest of the face. Apply concealer in the triangular pattern below our eyes to give a more natural look.
Step 5: Foundation
While choosing foundation one has to choose the shade very efficiently.Usually, women choose a very different shade as compared to their other exposed body parts which result in a disastrous makeup blunder. To avoid this blunder, firstly apply foundation on your neck and exposed chest and see if it doesn’t look absurd. Only then apply that shade on your face and if required on your hand. Blend it well to get a smooth finish. See if your dark spots are concealed properly. If not, then you can again apply foundation but this time specifically on those spots where it’s required.
Step 6: Blush
Apply blush on your cheekbones to get redness effect. If you can’t locate your cheekbones then all you have to do is smile and now you can apply it on the uplifted part. Check both the sides of your face to see if the required effect is obtained uniformly. But keep it optimum because you only want to give your skin natural red effect, do not apply it beyond your requirements.
Step 7: Eyeshadow
You can use glittery eyeshadow if your complexion is very fair else you can go for champagne color but before applying eyeshadow use eye primer. It wipes extra oil from your eyes and prevents irritation. To get smokey eyes blend darker shadow on your lower eyelashes.
Step 8: Eyeliner
Black is the most preferred color for an eyeliner. You can apply black color eyeliner even when you have to go to your workplace or on any casual occasion. Use Kohl on lower lash. Various different colors like blue and green are also available but are usually less preferred because they can also look like a disaster on you if the shade doesn’t match your outfit.
Step 9: Mascara
Firstly use an eyelash curler to curl your lashes. You can also add extra eyelashes to make them dense but use glue adroitly. You can then use mascara to darken your lashes. These are some of the minute’s steps which add extra definition to your face. Eye makeup is foremost therefore practice it well before you go out with it.
Step 10: Lipstick
If you don’t like wearing lipstick on casual occasions, you can then use lip balm. Before applying lipstick wipe your lips with cotton soaked in water. You can even use nude lipsticks if you don’t like bright colors. For glossy effect apply gloss over your lipstick.
You are now perfectly ready to be a show stopper. Get ready to see eyes turning as you pass by!
