It is always better to make your own compost rather than buying it because it is an easy task and it serves as a way to dispose of your kitchen waste. You can do so in a very small area (typically 3 x 3 ft) and most of the raw material comes from your kitchen.

Plant Growth Conditions

If you live in a very limited space, try to turn your walls into a vertical garden. Place the pots strategically so that you can make the most out of the space. Make sure you place them so that they get enough sunlight but at the same time are not burnt with too much sun.

The plants should be regularly watered and have proper ventilation and irrigation system. These indoor plants are very easy to take care of and need minimum attention. Also as the water flows from top to bottom, they can be designed to use minimum amount of water.

Tips for beginners!

Many beginners are scared to try gardening because of the fear of failure. Sure, you might not succeed the first time but always try and be aware of what suits your home. Here are some tips to begin with:

  1. Do not take unnecessary care of plants – Many beginners think that plants need special care. If the plant is relatively small in size and is in a small pot, they have no problem finding water, so don’t water your plant every time of the day, once or twice a day would do.
  2. If your plant’s wilt and the leaves fall off easily before they reach their full height, it clearly means that they not getting enough sunlight! Move them to a better spot and now see the change.
  3. Always wipe the leaves of the plants. Dust tends to settle faster on the plants that are either indoor or semi-indoor. This makes the plants prone to infections. Regular caring will prevent this type of disease. Once a week is a good call.
